You can be the smartest guy in the world. You can be the most skilled entrepreneur to ever walk the planet. You might have a masters degree in business and understand how to build a company from the ground up. You may have a vision that nobody else can see so clearly. You could literally be equipped with all the tools it takes to becoming a massively successful entrepreneur! Except there is this one thing you aren’t doing.
What exactly is the great equalizer for business success? Action.
If you’re not taking full-blown action, you won’t achieve great levels of success. How do you expect to keep up with the guy doing twice as much work? You need to be pro-active in constantly making moves to enhance your position or the position of your business. No action means no results. Your business will stay stagnant if you’re not getting out there and sparking growth. Having the skills to be a highly successful entrepreneur is nothing if it’s coupled with zero action.
Even if you’re not the most skilled person in the world, you see, you can make up for in numbers what you lack in skill! This is why action is the great equalizer for business success! Give me two business owners. One has all the skills and takes little action. One with little skills but action is practically his middle name! I take the second one every single time. Every time. That’s because the second business owner can continue to develop his skills and his action will make up for what he lacks in skill until he develops what he needs to be highly successful!
If you look around at some of the most successful people in the world, you are going to find that all of them take massive action. Some of the best professional athletes are always first to practice, last to leave. Some of the most successful entrepreneurs are always first to the office, last to leave. I could go on and on. But it’s evident that action breads results and if you’re not taking enough of it, your competition will pass you by!
Action is one of those things that is easy to talk about. “I just need to do more this week!” “Today I am really going to go all out!” It’s sooo easy to make the claim that you are going to take a ton of action to enhance your life or your business, but the thing about action is, you actually have to do it. Talking about all the things you are going to do and then actually going out and doing them are two completely different things.
If you’re still perfecting your craft or could even be considered somewhat of an amateur in your field, have no fear! You have something in your back pocket. You’re aware of something that not enough people are willing to implement anymore. You’ve discovered the great equalizer for business success.
All these words I’m speaking to you? They mean nothing. Everything you’ve said you’re going to do? It means nothing.
Unless of course you begin taking massive action.
