Are You Making a New Year’s Resolution or a New Year’s Revolution?

Well, 2013 is wrapping up. Christmas is over and 2014 is about to roll in. You know what the means, everyone begins making new year’s resolutions that 90% of the time fall by the wayside before March. The gym will be packed with people who swear this is the year they get fit and improve their health. Unfortunately, most give up on that too. It’s not that we don’t have good intentions,  sometimes it just plain comes down to will. How badly did they really want to change their lifestyle? They may tell you they really wanted to, but we all know actions speak way louder than words. With all that said, what if you did something different this year? What if instead of making a resolution you made a revolution?

Are You Making a New Year’s Resolution or a New Year’s Revolution?

If new year’s resolutions had better success rates I would be a lot more positive about you making one, but they don’t. The numbers don’t lie and it’s a fact that they rarely work. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. If you’ve made a resolution in the past and it didn’t work out, why not try something new? Give something else a shot. Why not start a revolution?

How does one make a revolution? One makes a revolution by having a vision. A vision of something greater than he or she wants to accomplish that goes beyond just a commitment to go to the gym or to manage your money better this year. This new year why don’t you figure out what exactly it is you want out of life. Do you want to be an extremely successful entrepreneur? Do you want to be able to provide for your family so they never again have to worry financially again? What is it that you want more than anything in your life? This year, don’t make it about something small, but instead, figure out something much bigger, like your dreams, and start a revolution. Go for the gold! Go for it all! How does it go? Go big or go home. Your own personal revolution to accomplish something much greater than just a new year’s resolution. This year I challenge you to create a new year’s revolution.

In order to create a revolution, what do you need?  You need support.  You need to create a movement.  You need leadership.  People aren’t going to get behind you and help you build something incredible unless you demonstrate the qualities of a leader. And make no mistake, you are only one person and can only do so much. All successful people know that you can’t be good at everything, but you need to surround yourself with whom are strong in the areas you may be weak. Do you have what it takes to start a revolution? Something so incredible that it goes beyond yourself and your own goals and actually begins to impact others too! That’s a real revolution.

New Year’s REVOLUTION

It’s a lot to ask, I know. I am asking you to take a step far beyond just a resolution this year. I’m challenging you to literally move mind, body, and soul. Blood, sweat, and tears. After all, creating a revolution is extremely difficult and not for the weak. If you’re not committed, you definitely won’t be able to do it. That’s why it is so much more than just some resolution you make. Now we are talking about your dreams and life goals. When you create a revolution rather than a resolution, you are putting your life on the line. You are putting your ultimate desires at stake. You’re gambling with your dreams. Creating a revolution is about cultivating something so powerful that nothing can stand in its way. You are going to ride it straight to your dreams destroying anything in your path. A revolution is so powerful people want to get behind it, they are naturally drawn to it. It’s a vision that is so laser-focused, that there literally is no chance anything can get in your way. Sure, you’ll hit some obstacles, but those are just bumps in the road. Those have no chance of holding up your revolution. I mean c’mon, it’s a freakin’ revolution. This is the year. This is the time. It’s time to take a stand on behalf of your own life and your own goals. It’s time to stand up to your excuses and rise up against fear. It’s time to chase your dreams as you’ve never chased them before.

This year, let’s not make just another new year’s resolution. No, this year, together, you and me, let’s create a new year’s revolution. Are you ready?
